Cotton picking the Uzbeck way

Leaving for Delhi in the morning en route to Bhutan. A three week adventure to the back of beyond high in the Himalaya. Cameras are sorted and packed, lenses wiped and memory cards formatted. Obviously given my love of flying the first few hours will be terrifying but once back on the ground I’ll start to unwind, that is until the flight home again. The temp’ in Delhi for tomorrow is forecast to be 36°c so thermal shock might set in as well.
I don’t have any recent pictures of Delhi or Bhutan yet so I thought I’d use an old favourite from central Asia – is that close enough?
Leaving for a longish trip is always bittersweet (like good chocolate), the excitement and anticipation tempered with the simply miserable fact that I’m not going to see Helen, Jennifer and William for quite some time. They’ve promised to be up for me in the morning, taxi for Heathrow is booked for 6.00am. Two of them will be bright eyed and bushy tailed but I’m not so sure about the third one.
